Out-of-school and vulnerable children in undeserved and low-income communities in Nigeria
As part of its responsibility towards sustainable social development, OPay is implementing 2023 CSR project "Reduction in the number of out-of-school and disadvantaged children in under-served and low-income communities across Nigeria" which is a multi-year education project funded by OPay Digital Services Ltd. Through the use of cutting-edge digital technology, the project aims to help Nigeria's under served and low-income communities reduce the number of disadvantaged and out-of-school children in line with global sustainability initiatives. The promotion of opportunities for lifelong learning for all and the assurance of inclusive quality education are two project results areas that align with UNICEF's Sustainable Development Goal 4, which the organization hopes to accomplish by 2030.
Eligibility Criteria
- Detailed Project Proposal
- Alignment with objectives
- Proof of SCUML Certificate
- Project Budget
- Project Monitoring and Evaluation Plan
- Demonstrated technical capacity with experience of at least 2–5 years working in education, child welfare, or similar fields
- A copy of the organization's most recently audited financial record
Fair & Equitable Partnership
One of the unique aspects of this call is the expectation that organizations will establish and develop fair and equitable partnerships from the beginning to the end of the project with relevant local stakeholders, involving them as appropriate throughout the project.

- Application review process: 3 to 6 weeks after successful proposal submission.
- The deadline for proposal submission is 31st of January 2026 by 11:59 pm (Nigerian time).
